Step 2: Add Business Information to Your Page

Now that you’ve added your business profile, you need to complete the details so it would be easier for consumers to identify your business correctly. You should supply the following information:

    • Business Name: If you are going to claim an existing listing of your business, make sure to check if the business name is correctly spelled out.
    • Physical Address or Location: Your physical address will add a map that would show up on your business profile. It gives potential customers a map that points to your location.
    • Business Hours: Make sure to list the operating hours of your business so customers will know when they can visit you. Don’t forget to update your holiday hours as well.
    • Contact Details: Give your customer a way to contact you. Make sure to provide a telephone number that is working as customers may call to book a reservation, ask questions, or avail of a service.
    • Business Category: Yelp would ask you to include your business in a category and a subcategory to make sure that your customers can find you when they search your business on Yelp. You are allowed to have a maximum of three categories for your business.
    • Website Address: Some customers can choose to visit your online profile first to know more about your business, so make sure to include an accurate website address.
    • Business Description: This section is the area where you can highlight your business in about 1,500 characters. Use this area to showcase what sets you apart from other businesses without coming off as too salesy. The important thing is you add what you think is relevant to your business.
    • More Business Information: This section would include additional details about your business. Some use this to add if their establishments accept other forms of payment, such as debit, credit cards, or cryptocurrencies. Others add if they offer takeouts, valet parking, Wi-Fi, and other pertinent details that potential customers may ask.
    • Photographs: Don’t forget to add photos to your Las Vegas business profile. They are critical in the sense that it gives your customers what they can expect when they visit your store. Make sure to include your store’s interior and exterior and products.

Step 3: Ask Customers to Review Your Las Vegas Business on Yelp

Once you believe that you’ve provided the best customer service, make sure to ask them to review you on Yelp. If you don’t have enough customers yet, you can invite friends and family to provide reviews to help your Yelp business profile off the ground.

However, you have to make sure that they only offer authentic reviews of your Las Vegas business. Yelp follows a system to filter reviews. You can solicit reviews by providing an incentive for posting a review. Some establishments place their requests on customer receipts, on their social media posts, and other marketing channels.

    Step 4: Respond to Reviews

Once your customers leave reviews, don’t forget to make an extra effort of responding to their reviews – be it good or bad. When they leave a positive review, thank them for their time in leaving a review. Refrain from giving canned responses. For bad reviews, don’t ignore them. Respond to them as well. Use the opportunity to show that you are concerned about an issue. Begin your reply with an introduction of who you are and an apology. Then, ask for more details (if not provided yet) about their particular concern by contacting you directly. Remember to avoid being defensive about their complaint as it will reflect poorly on your business.

    The Bottom Line

There are many avenues where you can post about your Las Vegas business, and Yelp is one of the most useful sites. It can be an excellent promotional channel for your business, so make sure to use it wisely.
